She along with her team have developed a single page website login system and another page for students who are working on different projects. In another page they have an admin option where one person can be assigned as a mentor for a student and guide him/her throughout the project by viewing the details of the project and the project under different columns like a Kanban board. Also as soon as they accept their profile will be shown under different cards that the student’s project has been assigned with a mentor. So there are different columns with cards such as sticky notes which can be shifted through one column and another. The code is available on GitHub

ACHIEVERS’ SECTION :
First Runner up of Trithon 2021 goes to Team Warriors.
Team members are Abhinandan Roul, Anshuman Mohapatra, Sourav Bera, Sunanda Samantaray and Shubhaprasad Padhy. In the Trithon they won 2nd place by mitigating the problem statement(PS115), Plantmedic which basically helps farmers and students to identify plant diseases, weeds, nutrient deficiency, and crop variety detection.
Plantmedic functions both as a website and an app. They have utilised Android Studio and implemented the code script in java (for app) and in ReactJs (for website). They have used tensorflow lite models to implement it in the android application. Data has been procured from a variety of sources like the Plant Village dataset, DeepWeeds dataset and sourced many other images from various Govt. websites to build and train an effective machine learning model.
Let us hear what participants have to share with us.
Abhinandan Roul :
“The organizing committee of Trident was commendable. They assigned volunteers for each team for better communication. My part was in ML, involved data collection, pre-processing , model training and evaluation.”
Anshuman Mohapatra :
“The experience was amazing although coordinating was a bit difficult as each one of us were far away from each other. My contribution was in making websites, using React J’s to make web app, and using firebase for authentication and storage. Trithon got talent was a stress buster that helped us rejuvenate.”
Sourav Bera :
“It was a fantastic experience, team members were very co-operative, Organisers were also co operative and handled the proceedings well. My Contribution was in crops and disease detection, with pests detection. Also handled APIs for performing ML over the web app. I planned at making the app work offline.”
Sunanda Samantaray :
“This was my first hackathon experience. Being at a different geographical location didn’t drift the coordination nor the work process as each one of us contributed significantly in the whole process. I contributed in one of the key features that we had in our app I.e, I suggested having various regional languages so that it will be accessible easily for anyone who doesn’t have knowledge rather than the local language.”
Shubhaprasad Padhy :
“It was my first 24 hours online hackathon. It was different because we were isolated and connected via the internet. I contributed by implementing the machine learning models provided by my teammates using tensorflow lite library for android.”
Thank you all for sharing your experiences, once again congratulations for winning 2nd prize.
